Researchers and practitioners have developed standards-based strategies for using both formative and summative data to improve learning. OLAC administrator standards, espoused through the Leadership Development Framework, align very closely with the recommendations of these researchers. Principals and superintendents play a vital role in the implementation of the PLTs and carrying out this important work. This session will review Ohio’s new evaluation models and provide leadership practices and a planning process which districts can incorporate into everyday practice. Mike Schmoker’s book, Results Now, provides insightful background to this dialogue.
