Help! My child refuses to go to school. What should I do?

There are many reasons for school refusal behavior. Talk to you child and let the child explain why they are refusing to go to school. Be in communication with the school about what is happening. The school may be able to make some suggestions or recommendations or they may refer the child to the ESC Center for Support Services. If your child ever becomes a threat to themselves or others contact local law enforcement immediately.
