Special Education Services

The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio partners with Central Ohio school districts to offer Special Education Services to students with special needs. Students are supported by a team of professionals who develop individual education program goals that provide skills leading to adult independence through student-centered enriched learning.

To be considered for an ESC program or service, personnel from the student’s school district of residence must complete and submit the referral packet.

Adaptive Physical Education

The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio provides adapted physical education services to districts.

The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio provides Behavior Intervention Support Services that assist school personnel and parents in identifying interventions, and using positive behavior supports that result in improved student achievement.

Campus-Based Transition

The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio has partnered with area institutions of higher education to provide Central Ohio students with disabilities campus-based transition programs in a peer group setting with the curriculum, environment and support needed to improve their lives after graduation.

Connections

Connections is a special education program designed to support the unique needs of students with significant emotional and behavioral challenges at Eastland Career and Technical Center. The program offers three levels of support to assist students as they complete a career or technical program.

The Deaf/Hard of Hearing Program is designed to meet the unique needs of students identified with hearing losses ranging from moderate to profound.

The ESC of Central Ohio's itinerant-based services are designed to assist identified preschoolers with disabilities, ages 3-5, in their home, local preschools and/or daycares.
