Specialized On-Site Support Team

The Specialized On-Site Support (SOS) Team is a service designed for district staff who work with students with significant academic and behavioral needs. The SOS Team will help build the capacity of teachers, counselors and administrators who are tasked with developing programs for students needing intense individualized academic and behavioral supports by providing comprehensive, integrated professional development.

The SOS Team is made up of highly qualified professionals, including:

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Instructional Coaching for Intervention Specialists
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW, SSW)
  • English Learner Specialist
  • Para-Professional/Teacher Assistant, Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

We collaborate with your building/district teams to develop a needs assessment plan outlining how unique skills can be learned and implemented in your district. Whether your intentions are to promote general program development for new staff, address emergent crisis situations, address your district’s annual special education profile findings, build your school’s continuous improvement plan, offer resources for difficult situations involving parents, advocates and attorneys, or the need for an independent education evaluation (IEE) – this team will help all staff and IEP teams develop high-quality, evidence-based practices and support ongoing implementation.

Our district trainings are customized to your needs and we’ll provide a detailed Capacity Building Plan for documentation of your proactive efforts in the design of effective student programming.
