Alternative Education Programs | Ventures Academy & Ventures II
The ESC of Central Ohio’s alternative education programs provide a structured opportunity for students who struggle or are unable to adjust to programs in traditional classrooms. Our goal is to provide each student with a safe learning environment that enhances self esteem and strengthens academic and social skills.
Experiential Learning in the Humanities | Mosaic
Implementing a project-based, integrated humanities curriculum, Mosaic challenges students to become analytic thinkers, effective communicators, successful collaborators, and responsible citizens. Students prepare for life in the global society by pursuing in-depth research projects, examining international connections in Central Ohio, engaging with the local arts community, and making major presentations in a variety of forums.
Special Education Services
To be considered for an ESC special education program or service, personnel from the student’s school district of residence must complete and submit the referral packet.
Campus-Based Transition Programs
The ESC of Central Ohio has partnered with area institutions of higher education to give Central Ohio students with disabilities an opportunity to explore, develop and refine skills necessary to enter competitive employment. Students focus on individualized transition plans to achieve future adult living and career aspirations.
