The ESC of Central Ohio Youth at the Booth program is a collaboration between the Franklin County Board of Elections, participating school districts and Kids Voting Central Ohio. Students are trained and paid to work as poll officials on Election Day, giving them the opportunity to obtain service experience for job resumés and college applications. The program also helps them better understand the election and voting process.
As an affiliate of Kids Voting USA, Kids Voting of Central Ohio operates as a nonpartisan civics education organization. Kids Voting collaborates with educators, parents, community leaders, civic organizations, elected officials and election boards to create civic skill-building and leadership development opportunities for students.
