ESC Welcomes New Members to Leadership Team

Lori Lofton and Jackie Dieter

This past summer, the ESC Governing Board approved the hire of Lori Lofton as agency Deputy Superintendent and Jacqueline (Jackie) Dieter as Assistant Treasurer. 

Lori Lofton (pictured on left) comes to the ESC from New Albany-Plain Local Schools, where she served as an Assistant Superintendent since 2018. Prior to that, she served as the Executive Director of Human Resources in the Westerville City Schools and as Senior Executive Director of the Center for the Teaching Profession at the Ohio Department of Education (now Ohio Department of Education and Workforce). 

In her role as Deputy Superintendent, Lori will support the Superintendent in managing the agency and its daily internal operations, overseeing internal staff development processes, preparing recommendations to enhance the ESC’s effectiveness, assisting in the development of the agency’s continuous improvement plan, and more. Over the next several months, Lori will work with Deputy Superintendent Gale Marsh to gain a deeper understanding of the ESC and its various roles and functions, while also providing additional support to member schools and districts. She will assume full Deputy Superintendent duties upon Gale’s departure this summer.
  
Lori’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Education from The Ohio State University; a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of California, Bakersfield; and Superintendent Licensure from Concordia University.

Jackie Dieter (pictured on right) has been with the ESC since 2007, serving as the agency’s Business Service Consultant. In this role, she worked closely with the Treasurer’s Office, overseeing facilities, liability and property insurance, and contract management. Prior to her time with the ESC, Jackie served as Procurement Manager for Owens Community College and also worked for EHOVE Career Center while attaining her School Treasurer License.  

As Assistant Treasurer, Jackie will support the CFO/Treasurer in daily fiscal operations, contract management, and more. 

Jackie’s formal education includes a Bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Tiffin University.

Lori began her role as Deputy Superintendent on January 5th, and Jackie moved to the Assistant Treasurer position on August 1st
