In partnership with Graduation Alliance, the ESC of Central Ohio will coordinate customized training for educators in State Support Team Regions 7 and 11 to build capacity of school districts to implement evidence-based location and re-engagement strategies.
Training sessions will increase awareness and understanding of the following evidence-based practices:
Persistent, consistent and systematic outreach to disengaged and struggling students and their families;
Systems for continuous monitoring of school and student progress data;
Analyze and differentiate the types of supports necessary to keep students engaged in school; and
Personalize the learning environment to facilitate stronger relationships between staff and students.
Ten sessions will be scheduled throughout the year to support the following communities of practice:
Cohort 1: District-level administrators
Cohort 2: Counselors, social workers, and school resource officers
Cohort 3: Teachers

All sessions will be recorded and available to participants in case of conflicts with the live sessions.
