This highly interactive three-day workshop equips content and general education teachers with research-based instructional techniques that address the needs of English Language Learners (ELLs or ELs) and other diverse populations in content classes.
Participants will gain a deeper understanding of working effectively with English Learners. This training provides the opportunity to learn and practice ways to plan and deliver lessons that allow English learners to access content standards as they develop their English proficiency.
The target audience includes K-12 educators in any content areas, EL teachers, administrators, coordinators, and coaches.
Participants will leave with plans, templates, resources, and ideas to implement in the new school year.
There is no additional cost to districts that are members of the ESC's EL Title lll Consortium. Use "ESC-EL" in payment box. For districts that are members of the ESCCO, the cost is $275. For districts that are not members of the ESCCO, the cost is $325.
An optional 1-semester hour of Ashland University credit will be offered for an additional $249.
