Description:

Join Science and STEM Specialist, Rob Niedermeyer, and fellow educators for a series of monthly, one-hour virtual sessions that dive into various STEM themed topics. Each session will include discussions, demonstrations, time to interact with your peers, and Q&A with the session lead.

Participants will leave with new perspectives and some resources to expand their thinking. Participants may choose to schedule time with facilitators for continued on-site conversations related to these sessions. Sessions are provided at no cost.

Central Ohio is quickly becoming a hub for innovation. Unfortunately, industry and K-12 education often lack insight into one another's needs. In this session, educators will learn how to bring industry into their classroom for more than guest speakers. Since partnerships are mutually beneficial, educators will also learn ways to adjust their practices to help meet the needs of industry partners.

Guests Jama Cobb, ESCCO Work Based Learning Coordinator, and Sandy Guinto, OSLN STEM Relationship Manager, will join us to discuss how their programs are giving teachers opportunities to visit industry sites and bring that learning back to the classroom.
