Effective in 2022, Ohio's House Bill 583
required the state Superintendent of Public Instruction to establish a program to provide tutoring and remedial education services to students in participating public and chartered nonpublic schools. That program is Tutor Ohio Kids
. Tutor Ohio Kids is being coordinated by the ESC of Central Ohio in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education
, other regional educational service centers (ESCs), school districts and schools.
