On March 26th, the ESC of Central Ohio’s Governing Board approved the hire of Cynthia (Cindy) Eldridge (pictured on left) as the agency’s new executive director of student services, effective August 1, 2021. In her role, Cindy will provide leadership and supervision of the ESC’s special education programs, collaborate with member school districts and advisory committees to identify, develop and implement necessary and innovative services, and much more.
Cindy has worked in education for over 30 years and is currently a consultant with
State Support Team Region 11. In her role, she has supported school districts and community schools to effectively implement strategies and practices that improve outcomes for all students. Previously, she has served as a coordinator and director of services for students with disabilities at both the district and regional levels.
She is a member of a variety of state-level committees focusing on such practices as Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Specially Designed Instruction, Assistive Technology, and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS). Her formal education includes studies at the University of North Carolina, Ashland University, and The Ohio State University, with a focus on special education and administration. Cindy has two sons, Christopher and Brendan, and resides in Bexley.
Cindy said she is excited to work with the new associate director, Robb Gonda, for the opportunity to partner with community agencies and district leadership, and to develop and provide high quality, innovative programs and services for students and districts in the Central Ohio region.
On May 26th, the ESC of Central Ohio’s Governing Board approved the hire of Robb Gonda (pictured on right) as the agency’s new associate director of student services, effective August 1, 2021. In his role, Robb will work closely with Cindy to establish community connections and partnerships, oversee comprehensive ESC programs and services, consult with school district leadership on aspects of professional learning opportunities, and much more.
Robb currently works at the ESC as a community school coordinator and school improvement facilitator.
During his twenty-four years working in education, Robb has served as a language arts and social studies teacher at the middle school level as well as an assistant principal and principal at the secondary level. His formal education was completed at Ashland University and The Ohio State University. Additionally, he has been fortunate to present multiple times at various state and national conferences and serves as vice-president of the Ohio Middle Level Association.
He resides in New Albany with wife, Elizabeth, and two children, Caroline and Timothy.
