ESC Employee to Present at National ESEA Conference

Jill Kramer, ESC of Central Ohio ELL Coordinator, has been selected to present at the National Elementary Secondary Education Association (ESEA) Conference on February 11, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. 

Her presentation "Professional Learning for Teachers of English Learners:  Meeting New Challenges," will provide teachers of English Learners with professional development ideas to use during the pandemic. 

At the ESC, Jill is part of our seven-member Specialized On-Site/Online Support Team, which provides customized, job-embedded coaching and/or workshops for school districts, schools, teams, or individual educators. Jill works with districts to set up, review, and evaluate their English Learner programs. She also provides professional development in districts, embedded coaching for EL and content-area teachers, and assistance with resources. Professional development topics include working with newcomers, ELs with limited formal education, identifying ELs with disabilities, vocabulary development, and family engagement.
