These one-hour virtual sessions take a deep dive into a specific topic. Each session will include an introduction to the topic, some connected readings, time for conversation and questions. Participants will leave with some new thinking and some resources to expand their thinking following the session. Note: Sessions are provided at no cost for member districts.

The opportunity for continued individual conversation/coaching is available for a fee. Students often choose fiction books when given the choice of reading materials. They often see nonfiction reading as reading that is done for school instead of for personal enjoyment. We can help students find books that they want to read "for fun” if we think differently about the books we have available, the ways we use nonfiction in our teaching and the ways we book talk nonfiction books.
