Central Ohio Attendance Network COAN

Attendance Services
Regular attendance is essential to every student's academic achievement, social emotional development, and long-term success. Ohio's attendance framework, including the requirements established under House Bill 96, emphasizes prevention, early intervention, and collaborative problem solving to improve student attendance and engagement.
The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio partners with districts by providing a comprehensive continuum of attendance services delivered by Licensed Social Workers. Our services are designed to strengthen district attendance systems, build staff capacity, remove barriers to attendance, and support students and families through evidence based, relationship centered practices that align with House Bill 96 and current Ohio attendance requirements.
Our goal is to help districts improve attendance, increase student engagement, reduce chronic absenteeism, and improve graduation outcomes through practical, student centered solutions.
