Adapted Physical Education

The Educational Service Center of Central Ohio provides adapted physical education services to districts. These highly qualified and licensed/certified professionals work closely with educational teams to identify and service students with motor deficits in a school-based setting. Direct, consultative and/or monitoring services may also be provided as determined by the IEP team.

A therapist/specialist may participate in assessments and serve on intervention assistance teams as directed by school administration. In addition, these professionals are able to provide customized activities and adaptations for successful participation in educational programs and activities.

For challenging cases, consultation with department chairs is available.
