Gifted Education
The ESC provides professional consulting and coordinator services to help school districts identify gifted and talented learners and support the educators who serve them.
Our team works closely with districts to ensure policies, procedures, and programs meet Administrative Code requirements while promoting effective strategies for identifying gifted students, including those with exceptional abilities in the visual and performing arts.
We also assist in designing a continuum of services aligned with best practices in gifted education, plan and deliver professional learning for a variety of stakeholder groups, and offer resources on gifted education issues and instructional pedagogy. Professional consulting services promote the use of effective instructional strategies to enhance critical and creative thinking in students including the development and deployment of online courses for teachers of high-ability students.
