State Training
Through its partnership with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW), the ESC of Central Ohio delivers critical state-required training and support designed to help school districts meet Ohio standards, enhance safety, and cultivate professional growth. Our statewide-mandated offerings include:
Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports
To assist districts and schools with this work, the ESC, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (ODEW), is providing guidance and training.
Resident Educator (RE) Program Support
Developed in conjunction with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce, the ESC has unique support programs to help districts and schools navigate the complexities of the Resident Educator program. In addition to the RE Mentor Academy, we provide the following services: Certified RE Mentors, RESA Facilitators, and RE Program Coordinators.
Ohio Evaluation Systems
The ESC of Central Ohio provides credential training in alignment with state evaluation systems.
Threat Assessment Training
The ESC partners with the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to provide threat assessment training for districts and schools as required by House Bill 123, the Safety and Violence Education (SAVE) Students Act.
Services include:
- CSTAG Initial Training: This training is designed for new multidisciplinary teams and new team leaders who will be trained to use CSTAG at the district and build level. This is a full-day program that covers the following Level 1 and 2 topics.
- CSTAG Refresher Training: This training is designed for existing teams who have completed Levels 1 and 2 of CSTAG. This Level 3 CSTAG Refresher training is a half-day workshop that meets the State mandated three year training requirement.
- Personalized Consultation & Coaching (Designed for existing teams)
