Early exposure to computer science fosters crucial computational skills like problem-solving, logic, and creativity, preparing young minds for a world shaped by technology.

Empower your K-5 teachers to become champions of computational thinking! OSLN’s year-long program equips them with the skills and strategies to integrate computer science seamlessly into core subjects like math, ELA, and science, enriching their curriculum and boosting student engagement.

School leaders: Join us to learn more and prepare your students for a bright future on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 9:00-3:00PM at Battelle’s headquarters in Columbus.

During this workshop, you will:
  • Experience K-5 computer science and computational thinking lessons first-hand.
  • Get up to speed on changes to Ohio policy surrounding Computer Science, including the State Committee on Computer Science.
  • Discover how free, high-quality K-12 curriculum resources from Code.org can save your teachers time.
  • Map out how the professional development portfolio created by Code.org and the Ohio STEM Learning Network can bring computer science to your school by Fall 2024.
