It is located in Franklin County, seven miles east of downtown Columbus.

Knowledge & Experience

The Board is seeking candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and successful experience.

Finance
  • Proven track record of integrity
  • Solid financial communications
  • A strategic mindset relative to issues (both programmatic and fiscal) for both small and large districts
  • Stays current on state policy issues and their implications for technological services
  • Maintains what is working and amends to accommodate expansion when necessary
Business Management
  • Recruit, develop, evaluate and retain quality staff
  • Manage resources and services to minimize disruptions and maintain low membership fees
  • Discern from new and existing opportunities those that the organization can support without implicating fees
  • Know the education industry
  • Be service-minded and also a servant-leader
Technology
  • Promote the use of effective and appropriate technologies to support teaching and learning
  • Familiarity with technology services and the efficiencies of consortia-provided services
  • Continue to build the capacity of the organization, infrastructure and human resources as well as client capacity

  • Keeps the “train on the rails,” but is also able to meld vision to conform to state expectations
  • Listens to districts’ needs and has familiarity with the education industry
  • Is approachable by staff and members
  • Ensures access and opportunity to all students consistent with available resources and legal mandates

  • Demonstrates high ethical and professional behavior
  • Builds sustainable relationships and creates a culture of trust
  • Must be respectful in connecting with any stakeholder (board, staff, clients, vendors, etc.)
  • Needs to be kind and serve as a barometer for the Board

Applicant Requirements

The Board is seeking a candidate with successful leadership experience in an education executive capacity, such as a superintendent/CEO, treasurer/CFO, business manager, chief operating officer and/or chief technology officer.
