The Columbus City School District is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Treasurer/CFO. The Board seeks an effective and experienced leader in education and administration. It is preferred that the new Treasurer/CFO will take office by August 1, 2024.

Established in 1845, Columbus City Schools (CCS) is the state of Ohio’s largest school district, serving the needs of 47,000 students in 115 schools. The student population is as vibrant and diverse as the Columbus community. Serving approximately 29,000 households, CCS families represent 104 countries. The top non-English languages spoken in the district are Spanish, Somali, Nepali, Arabic, and French. Of its 47,000 students, more than 41,000 are transported by an 836 bus fleet. Throughout the school year, nearly 3 million breakfasts and 4.3 million lunches are served. 

One of the premier employers in the city, CCS employs over 9,000 teachers and staff. It is governed by a seven-member Board of Education which oversees a $1.8 billion operating budget.
