The ESC has released four Requests for Proposal (RFPs) as part of its Workforce Super Pilot Project.
Central Ohio employers continue to have unfilled positions in which high school graduates who have chosen not to continue their education would be eligible for employment consideration. These students, we believe, may not be aware of these opportunities. The graduate classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 would be targeted. These classes suffered most from learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The strategies to be employed are to engage firms with expertise that will identify these students, create a database of these students, and then market through social media the unfilled positions at three selected employers. The employers will be selected through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process, so that the very best local opportunities for young workers can be identified and highlighted. This project will then be presented to organizations representing businesses to sustain the process into the future for the graduating class of 2023 and beyond.
