Speech-Language Pathologist
Description: The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will provide comprehensive speech and language services to students with communication disorders in a school setting. The SLP will work collaboratively with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will also contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and ensure that speech and language goals are effectively integrated into the educational environment. The Speech Language Pathologist at KIPP Columbus provides crucial support and services to students with disabilities. The primary focus areas of the SLP are to assess and identify KIPPsters eligible for special education services, assist school teams with their MTSS/RtI process, and work in collaboration with other service providers and student services team members to ensure a high-quality continuum of services is available to all KIPPsters. The Speech Language Pathologist will be licensed by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce with a minimum of 1 year experience as a school-based SLP.
Intervention Specialists (K-12)
Description: KIPP Columbus is looking for a highly qualified Special Educator who has a track record of instructional excellence and who is willing to continuously go above and beyond for students. Our KIPP team is committed to leading and teaching through an anti-racist lens and are responsible for delivering effective, rigorous instruction in their content areas that produce high-quality results and student understanding. The Diverse Learning Team at KIPP Columbus provides crucial services to students with disabilities. In this role, educators provide specially designed instruction in small groups to students on their assigned caseload while also teaching content specific materials. The SLC (CC) Intervention Specialist will teach core curriculum and social-emotional learning curriculum to students with low-incidence disabilities in a small group setting, consistent with state standard, with the support of a paraprofessional. Current Ohio Special Education Intervention Specialist License or willingness and ability to pursue certification by start date required.
School Psychologist
Description: The Senior School Psychologist at KIPP Columbus provides crucial support and services to students with disabilities. In this role, educators will have the opportunity to work with a caseload of students in grades K-12, across KIPP Columbus’ schools. The primary focus areas of the Senior School Psychologist are to assess and identify KIPPsters eligible for special education or gifted services, assist school teams with their MTSS/RtI process, and work in collaboration with other service providers and student services team members to ensure a high-quality continuum of services is available to all KIPPsters. The Senior School Psychologist will be licensed by the State Board of Psychology (pursuant to HB409 effective 1/1/2025) with a minimum of 1 year experience as a School Psychologist.
