Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training - In Person
Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training is a face-to-face event. New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The two-day Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators. Attendance on both days is required. Trainings will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training - Virtual (Synchronous/Asynchronous)
Resident Educator Mentor Academy Training is a hybrid event. New mentors to the Resident Educator Program are required to successfully complete the 12-hour Mentor Academy Training to receive state mentor certification. The Academy focuses on the role of the mentor and the critical components of instructional mentoring. Mentors are introduced to the essential content of mentoring to prepare them to support the instructional growth and development of Resident Educators. This is a hybrid training requiring participants to access both the ODE Learning Management System and to attend the virtual meetings held by RE State Trainers through Zoom after school hours. After school sessions will be from 4:30-6:30 p.m. An optional orientation session will be held on a date prior to the training from 4:30-5:30.
